About the Author

I have been a criminal attorney for 59 years and at the age of 85 I have self-published a book titled Harolyn And Me Our Love Story which is a tribute to my wife of 57 1/2 years, Harolyn Ann Sacks who passed away on May 2, 2020. My book is the story of our life together as told in love poems that I wrote to her over the past three years along with photographs that were taken over the 62 1/2 years that we shared in this life as we dated each other and were engaged for a total of 5 years before we were married on October 28, 1962.  In addition to the poetry and the photographs there is additional written commentary that contain information to supplement my poetry and our photographs in exposing the reader of my book to additional information in giving a more complete picture of  Harolyn And Me Our Love Story which totals 180 pages.  My goal is to now work on obtaining a distribution of my book through an established publishing company and exposure through other entertainment media entities.

I am a California native being born in Los Angeles in 1938 at the same time with my identical twin brother.  My higher education consisted of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from UCLA in 1961 then graduating with a Doctor of Laws Degree from the UCLA School of Law in 1964.  After passing the California State Bar Exam I was a prosecutor in the District Attorney’s Office of Los Angeles County for 4 years then for the next 55 years I was a Criminal Law defense attorney. Although currently retired from courtroom activities I still assist my son Stefan Eric Sacks, who has been my law partner for the past 29 years, in the preparation of cases that he litigates in court for the defense.
